J K Tyres has got an independent research and development centre, which is recognised by Dept. of Scientific & Industrial Research, Government of India, in order to continue their tradition of being on the cutting edge of technology and innovation. J K Tyre became the first tyre manufacturer in the world to get ISO 9001 accreditation in 1995, for the entire operation in one go and was the worlds first tyre manufacturer to be awarded to QS 9000 certification for multi location operations.
